How to complete the mourning thank you notes? I write a note of thanks to those who sent food, flowers, etc., when my father and brother died. We have pre-printed cards from the funeral home who say that on the front "Thank you for sharing our sorrow ..., etc. The of_____________ family." The cards are inside open and empty, so I guess I should write a personal message inside each one. Is this correct? I have seen cards that say nothing more to say than ours on the front. Thank you pour votre aide.
Ive seen it done in both directions. but a note is fine if you're up especially for flowers or gift given. EXP: We, or I am happy to live plants Lilly. or Your donation to the charity mom is appreciated.
If you know what they have sent or simple "Thank you for the (whatever), it meant a lot to us while dealing with the passing of Fred. Your thoughts meant a lot to us if you do not know what they sent just do the same thing, but go generic on the first line! On a personal note, please convey my condolences to your husband and in-laws!
