Birth Thank You

Birth Thank YouHow can you tell when a cat is ready to give birth?

I know she was pregnant in January, around the second week. I know she is due this month, but do not know when. It is huge and it has milk, but nothing comes out of her breasts yet. She eats even if I do not know when that happens, the ideas of hints as to when she gives birth? Thank you.

Cats engage in nine weeks. You can also look back and you'll be able to tell if it is opening!

when my cat had kittens she ran around the house like crazy for a while and then she meows very settled in my bed and began panting and meowing loudly. Shortly after we first kitten emerging
You will see a nesting instinct in her. It will start to drag in a dark space isolated as a closet or under a bed or a place where she could feel safe. If you find that this space is a box set or at least some old towels or blankets there for her to ask about. Make sure it has water in his nesting territory too.
This will be anyday now and remember it may take some time for all the kittens to be born. It was about twleve hours between our first and last.

The cat was panting, they do not usually do.

Probably any day now, so be prepared!

Cats out baby ......

I could always tell when my cat was looking for a place to hide in the house or I found on the floor meowing and panting. Just keep an eye on it, you'll know when it starts to act weird. Good Luck

It will start "nesting" - it will be wandering around the house, usually in hidden areas [under the sofa, behind the table, etc.] looking for a place nice and warm and dry to give birth.

If his behavior changes substantially such, she prepares to give birth.

if she got pregnant the second week, then the due date would be any day now. she can go on the food of the day or before work, she may vomit and certain. things she will start nesting and gathering, kneading them more than usual, to wander and not be able to resolve the kind of things that plague us when we are about to give birth. :-) Except that she too will start licking his soldiers just before work, too ... to remove any liquid that is leaking.

Now, start taking her temperature every day at the same time. (Just lubricate the thermometer, insert it into the rectum a half inch and hold it gently. It's easier than it looks, lol.) Their body temperature down in good time before into the work. if you notice it is below 99 degrees, work will happen in the next 24 hours.

keep in mind, she can not go into heat just two weeks after delivery if kept away from men during her care or she will get pregnant. Then, when kittens are old enough to be weaned, get her spayed. there are already way too many kittens need homes in shelters, so please do your part to prevent their mothballed. check with your local shelter for the moment, perhaps low-cost sterilization available.
