Cheap Notepads

Cheap NotepadsA company sells two types of notebooks for the libraries of colleges ...?

Wholesale, first for 50 cents and 70 cents for the second. The company receives about 200 notebooks with a check for $ 130. If the order does not specify the number of each type, how the company to fulfill the order?
Number of ratings cheap?
Number of notes expensive?

Im not even know how to set up my two equations.

Ok if you have two variables. X = notebook cheap, and y = notebook expensive.

you know there are a total of 200 notebooks. Thus:

X + Y = 200

Now, you also know that the total cost is $ 130. So if you buy X number of notes cheap, and Y number of notebook price the total price will be equal to $ 130.

Thus: X = $ 130 (.50) + Y (0.70)

Now combine the two equations by rearranging the first.

X + Y = 200. (Subtract X from both sides, then moving it towards the left side of the equals sign) You get:
Y = 200-X

Now, plug in your second equation.

X $ 130 = (.50) + (200-X) (0.70)
that gives you a variable, and now you can solve for X.

$ 130 =. 50X + 200 *. 70 - (0.70) X
$ 130 = 140 to 0.2 X

X = 50
Y = 150

c + e = 200
70E + 50C = 13000 divide by 10
5c 7th = 1300
Mult first by -5
-5c - 5e = -1.000
2nd = 300
e = 150
c = 50

Check .70 (150) = $ 105
.50 (50) = $ 25
200 Total $ 130

It looks like a matter of simultaneous equations.
Discount = a
Dear = b

1) A + B = 200
(This is the total number of laptops in 200)
2) 50a 70b = 13000 (total price in cents)

Try this, if you do not get it, I'll post more.
