Christmas Congratulation

Christmas CongratulationIs it bad etiquette to send a Congratulations on your new baby / Merry Christmas card?

A former colleague of mine who lives in another city had a baby a few weeks ago and I wanted to send a Christmas card in a couple of weeks, but I also want to write something in the congratulations card on the new baby. Is this bad etiquette? Should I send separate cards? What do you suggest?

Sending a Christmas card that mentions the new baby sounds good. I think it would be weird to get a card that says Merry Christmas baby! It's really nice of you!

I would be sending a Christmas card or card baby. I see nothing wrong in adding that in and I doubt she would be offended. If someone sent me two cards, I think it was very nice of them, but not necessary.

You can write a little something inside the Christmas card aknowledging the new baby.
