Does Microsoft offer a rebate to students on Office 2008 for Mac? Being a student I am constantly sent e-mail e-mail in my college all kinds of discounts on Microsoft products. I know they offer Office 2007 for Windows for students for $ 59. I wondered if they did the same for Office 2008 for Mac.
Microsoft offers a Home and Student Edition of Office for Mac 2008 (latest version) for about $ 100. Check online retailers like MacMall, Amazon, etc. I have seen for as little as $ 69 at some retailers. At about the same version as the full version less a few bells and whistles that most users will never need the means.
IDK, but it is Star Office, which costs less than MS Office '07.
Or if your ready to climb a learning curve, you can use Open Office for Mac.
The difference between Open Office dot org (OOo) and Star Office is that Star Office has fewer bugs, more content (such as clip art, transitions, etc.), and Star Office has public support in contrast to OOo.
Or, you can get VMWare Fusion, and run down version MS Office student in a Windows virtual machine with Fusion enabled. You will not know the difference.
I would say no, because when you do not buy a PC, you do not Microsoft, but as much as you do not buy it get the product they want more money out of the deal as possible. I'll try the Amazon, the news is as cheap as $ 89.99. While that sounds expensive its better than paying more than one hundred to two hundred dollars. There is a link in the sources.
I suggest not to spend time on the Internet looking up for free download illegally. Believe me, there's nothing there.
