Graduation Thank You Wording

Thank you for the graduation gift. It was much appreciated.

Thank you for remittances, it has been appreciated ......

When I got money for graduation, I just put in my card, "Thank you for $___. It is greatly appreciated! This will certainly help me to get things started university! " or something to that effect. It has been five years, I do not remember exactly word for word what I wrote.

Congratulations graduate!

Your kind donation of cash for my degree is most appreciated! As I go to college in the fall, I'll use the money for the delivery of my dorm room, and a daily reminder of your attention. Thank you for your best wishes.

Whenever somebody gives money, I go with something easy. Example:

Dear Tom,

Thank you very much for your donation -
I can not wait to call me a XXXX and YYYY with it.
or
It will really help me pay for textbooks and courses!
or
How did you know that was my favorite style and color? :)

Thank you very much for thinking of me at the time of graduation. Your generous gift is greatly appreciated and will certainly be put to good use.

I said, "Thank you for your valuable contribution to fund my university."

The money I got for college reading: "Thank you for your contribution to the Graduate College Broke and hungry looking for a Jobs Fund."

And then, I have a sense of humor and the fact of my family.

I like both Holly and suggestions Answer Fairy. It should be short, sweet, sincere and grammatically correct. And always mention what you plan to do with money (leaving aside the alcohol, though). :-)

Do not mention the dollar amount. You know how they gave you, and they know how it was, he did not need to be challenged. Say "Thank you for your generous donation. It was so nice of you. "Or" Thank you for thinking of me, I thank you for your generous donation. " If you intend to use the money for a major purchase, you can tell.
