Why Gray (Gray) card so important?

Most have a camera built in automatic color correction. You may know these parameters such as automotive, tungsten halogen, sunlight, flash, cloud, shadow, some cameras have a K-Kalvin, and some still have a pre-white balance.

Now, let's talk about the importance of choosing either the white balance for the scene you are in. This means, the light source is either the sun flash, sun-reflecting Ambient, flash reflection. Sun is also known as ambient light. Ambient light is reflected light that falls on your subject or area without influence. form or direct sunlight. (Flash etc..) Ambient light can also be light in a room that is constant and immovable. What do you mean Ty still? Well, the lights on the walls do not move much, and the flash on the camera, or flash hand moves around the room. Therefore, you are able to direct light and not ambient light. We know that the definition of ambient: completely surrounding "ambient", "noise", "temperature", "Ambient light, the light that covers more surface area you are but filtered and reflective. Remember. We use the ambient light than you might realize. Something I always try to teach my students is: just before taking your pictures, do not forget too see the light. Yes .. This seems very strange. "But of course Tylar, we always see the light" Yes, but really, really see the light. Take a moment to stop and see all the different types of light in the area you are. Try not to just start taking pictures, but stop and see all the different gradients of light. The shadows, midrange and treble on your visit. Remember, the mids are your gray dots in your visit. And why I'm going through all this too explain a gray card.

Think you considered your backpack gray card. Most card games are delivered with a gray card in black, gray and white. Why? Because your visit, and in every photo you take these three have gradients of light. Now .. Here is a photo of a gray card. Here's my card game I used for most if not all of my photos and work.

(I white balance plan using the average gray point drops in Lightroom.)

Ok, we now know what a map looks like gray. Did you know that you can use this card for white balance 100s of photos you've done today 1 fail to melt? Surely you've shot in the same light as you snap your gray card in. For example, suppose your sunlight. Put your camera RAW, if supported, have your model or object, or simply put the card on the field, and take a picture of him. It's that simple. Now your light is balanced in all planes for the light, and time of day. While you can use a dropper in a medium pr digital camera.
