Maybe he has received the award because he is the first black president of the United States. He was appointed only two weeks after his inauguration. So by then, he had done nothing remarkable in the world. It does not hurt to rhetoric promising diplomacy and a policy of pacifism. Even if the Liberals have to admit that he probably did not deserve it.

I am an Obama supporter, but I do not see how it is this. I do not think it's his race, though, I would bet that it is their relief that it is not W. Bush supports more.
