(You name of his wife) and I wanted to thank you for sharing our wedding and we make such a generous donation.
We can not thank you enough.
Mike and (your wife's name)
Thank you very much for your generous donation is greatly appreciated.
(And maybe) We will use this, beginnning our life together.
(Or)
This money has helped us on our honeymoon, or it will be saved for the down payment on our house, etc.
Findings of monetary donations are expressed in the same way you thank a friend or a relative to a purchased item. If you have a particular item you intend to buy with the money, you can share it with them.
Example:
Dearest Aunt Mary
Kevin and I thank you very much for the check you sent for our wedding. We've been saving for a down payment on our first house and
have added your gift to our special account. It was so nice of you. One day soon, we invite you to our housewarming!
Can not wait to see you and Uncle Ted again
Simple, tell them what you did with the money. For example, Thanks for the great gift we have been able to buy the slow cooker we were looking at your generosity is so appreciated. However, we wish to thank you for allowing us to share our moments with you ..
Dear ___,
Thank you very much for attending our wedding, we are very grateful that you could be there to help us celebrate our special day with us. Also, thank you / Thank you both for the gift, it is certainly appreciated and will be exploited in our common future. Again, thank you very much for both of us, Sincerely, ___. In addition, if the immediate family, before closing it is worth mentioning "We look forward to seeing you at x-mas" or something like that, just to add a personal touch, and if they were absent to start by saying "Although we missed you at the reception, you were in our thoughts and we look forward to seeing you soon"
